MCAP Is Hiring!

The University of Minnesota Climate Adaptation Partnership (MCAP) is now hiring for the position of Extension Educator in Climate Adaptation & Resilience. The position, which will be based in a regional Extension office in Farmington, Morris, or Willmar, will bring in-depth climate science expertise to assist Minnesota’s agricultural sector, water and natural resource managers, and  communities in responding to impacts of a changing climate.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Creating educational programs for agricultural, water and natural resource professionals and related communities to build understanding about climate impacts and skills to use climate projections information for informed decision-making.
  • Contributing to applied research that supports Extension programs, education, and outreach related to climate change, climate adaptation, and climate resilience.
  • Adapting Extension programs for audiences with a range of knowledge, backgrounds, and cultures.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of a climate and community resilience research, education, and capacity-building agenda, in collaboration with MCAP Leadership and the MCAP Advisory Board.
