Job Opening: Ramsey County Climate and Health Planner

There are two open positions, Planning Specialist 1 and Planning Specialist 2. The goal of these positions is "to develop comprehensive long and short-range plans, projects and programs in the area to which assigned; to develop recommendations on policies, procedures, or services in response to specific issues, problems or disputes; to provide leadership and coordination of projects, procedures and plans in the area of specialization or department to which assigned; to review services and programs to develop recommendations for service changes or to make budget recommendations; and to perform related duties as assigned."

Responsibilities range from conducting studies on climate resilience to analyzing research data and preparing legislative proposals. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social or Behavioral Sciences or related field, plus four years (Specialist 1) or six years (Specialist 2) of experience in planning, service delivery, or a related function appropriate to the department to which assigned.
