Advancing Health & Disaster Resiliency in Minnesota

Protecting communities from climate-related disasters through effective emergency management (EM) and disaster resiliency planning requires a consideration of climate information, particularly climate projection data (CPD). Currently, EM data users in Minnesota face multiple barriers to accessing and applying CPD. Coproduction of knowledge between scientists and end-users is a promising approach for bridging these barriers. This paper describes a novel effort to develop, promote, and evaluate the application of CPD for EM planning through the co-production of knowledge with local emergency managers.
