Rachel Johnson
FloodWise Communities Coordinator

Biography

Rachel supports communities across Minnesota in strengthening flood resilience, improving stormwater management, and preparing for a changing climate through the FloodWise Communities program. Before joining the Climate Adaptation Partnership, Rachel worked as a stormwater engineer and climate adaptation planner in the Pacific Northwest, a resilience policy fellow in DC with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and an environmental educator in the US and abroad. Originally from Minnesota, she is excited to be back in the land of 10,000 lakes and helping communities move from understanding flood risks to identifying practical, locally relevant actions that build resilience over the long term.
