Are you interested in integrating climate projections and adaptation strategies into your work? We can help you find and interpret local climate information, understand specific risks and vulnerabilities, and implement resilience plans. We offer sector-specific workshops and custom programming across a range of specialities.
Current sector-specific offerings:
Building design and engineering
In our Resilience by Design workshop, participants work on a sample building project to examine climate hazards, assess risks, and identify and prioritize adaptation and resilience design strategies. You’ll leave with skills to design and apply resilience strategies in your work.
Community planning
This program is aimed at communities working on comprehensive plans or other planning efforts. We provide training on local climate trends and projections, and lead discussions with decision-makers to help identify and assess local climate challenges, opportunities, and actions to achieve community goals.
Natural resources and watershed planning
For forest and watershed plans and projects, such as updates to Comprehensive Watershed Management Plans under the One Watershed One Plan program, we help managers use a structured decision-making process to integrate climate data, identify climate vulnerabilities, select adaptation actions, and identify pathways for implementation.
Stormwater management
Communities are experiencing record flooding and costly impacts to critical stormwater infrastructure. Our FloodWise Communities program provides technical assistance and stormwater vulnerability assessment support to small- and medium sized communities to support effective stormwater management.
Farm and agricultural management
Our Risk to Resilience series offers growers the opportunity to learn about changing weather patterns specific to our region, improve farm planning and resilience skills, and foster relationships with others looking to build sustainable and resilient operations.
