Biography
Katie received her B.A. in both Biology and Environmental Studies from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. She
recently completed her master’s degree in Applied Plant Sciences from the University of Minnesota. Her thesis
examined strategies for increasing cover crop adoption in Midwestern corn-soy systems. Prior to joining MCAP, she worked for UMN’s Department of Agronomy and Plant Genetics as an education assistant focused on crop research, STEM outreach, and undergraduate education.
