Heidi Roop helps to Launch the Climate-Ready Gardens Community Engagement Toolkit

Hosted by the MN Master Gardener Volunteer Program

Wednesday, September 21, 2022, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Join us for the launch of the Climate Change Community Engagement Toolkit Training for Master Gardener Volunteers on Tuesday, September 21 at 6:30 p.m. MCAP Director, Dr. Heidi Roop, will share both observed and expected climate impacts in the Midwest and Minnesota and will highlight many of the actions already underway across the region to prepare for climate change. We will also explore how we can each play a role in catalyzing solutions from our backyards and gardens to the systems-wide changes needed to confront the many challenges of a warming world. Registration is free for you and a friend by using the code MGFREE.

The Climate Change Community Engagement Toolkit Training for Master Gardener Volunteers is an online, self-paced training that provides in-depth information for how climate change will continue to challenge Minnesota gardeners. Watch specially developed educational lectures on climate change, disease management, garden design, and plant selection from University of Minnesota horticulture and climate specialists. Furthermore, gain access to a variety of handouts and educational materials to share with the community as you help gardeners continue to adapt to climate change. Register for $15 by September 26 . A link will be sent to begin the course on September 27.
