Governor Tim Walz recently announced the release of the new Minnesota Climate Action Framework which includes strategies to increase the state's resilience to the impacts of climate change through both mitigation and adaptation. The Framework is laid out around six goals:
- Clean transportation
- Climate-smart natural and working lands
- Resilient communities
- Clean energy and efficient buildings
- Healthy lives and communities
- Clean economy
As part of our work to support the state in these efforts, the MCAP team will work with colleagues from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to develop resilience metrics to measure the success of the strategies laid out in the Resilient Communities chapter as the actions are implemented and evaluated.
