MCAP Hosts Distinguished Humphrey Fellows for Climate Action

During the week of August 15, 3 international fellows, will visit Minnesota to share knowledge about climate action and leadership in collaboration with Indiana University and MCAP. Ms. Keltoum Ait-Belhaj is the Head of the Green Economy Department for the Morocco Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Miss Benita Davis is a Project Coordinator for the Guyana Policy Forum, and Dr. Tonio Sadik is the Senior Director of Environment, Lands, & Water Branch of the Canada Assembly of First Nations. 

The Distinguished Humphrey Fellowship for Climate Action is part of the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, a Fulbright exchange, that provides accomplished professionals from countries with emerging economies with international enrichment opportunities in leadership and public service. Since 1978, more than 6,400 fellows from 163 countries have participated in the program.

During their time in Minnesota, the fellows with meet with MCAP team members, members of the MCAP Advisory Board, and representatives from the UMN Water Resources Center, Senator Tina Smith's office and Ecolibrium3. They will also have the opportunity to tour the UMD Natural Resources Research Institute, Cloquet Forestry Center
