The College of Menominee Nation (CMN) is seeking to hire a Bureau of Indian Affairs funded deputy tribal climate resilience liaison to work with its Sustainable Development Institute (SDI) and the Midwest Climate Adaptation Science Center (MW CASC). The deputy tribal liaison will work with the CMN tribal resilience liaison to advise the MW CASC and address Tribal climate science needs in the Midwest region.
This position will also will serve as a direct liaison between the Tribes in the MW CASC region, the respective Bureau of Indian Affairs regions, and climate researchers increase capacity and address research gaps in climate, natural and cultural resources disciplines to guide strategic adaptive planning and implementation of Tribal resiliency projects.
The primary focus for this position is the 35 federally recognized Tribes in defined regions of the Department of Interior Midwest Climate Adaptation Science Center and the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The position will be stationed at the Midwest Climate Adaptation Science Center located at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
