The College of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) of the University of Minnesota is at the State Fair! This year's theme is Climate Solutions: Adaptation in Action. Fair visitors can walk through an interactive exhibit to learn about climate change affects our communities, the food we eat, and the outdoors we love. The exhibit highlights how CFANS "experts are using innovative approaches and tools to grow staple crops more efficiently and sustainably, simulating future conditions to study current impacts, assessing risks and making preparation plans for our communities." It also encourages visitors to think about the individual steps they can take to adapt to a changing climate.
