Join us on Tuesday, March 28 at 7:00 p.m. at The Bell Museum to celebrate the release of The Climate Action Handbook, a new book by MCAP Director, Dr. Heidi Roop that shows us WHY we need to take action now to combat climate change and HOW through easy-to-understand language and stunning infographics.
As more focus is put on climate science, there is a need for each of us to learn how we can change our habits in our home, communities, and government to help mitigate the existential threat of climate change. Join us for the launch of MCAP Director, Dr. Heidi Roop’s new book, The Climate Action Handbook. This visually stunning guide addresses climate change using easy-to-understand language and infographics and offers ideas, options, a roadmap for action – and more importantly, hope.
During a talk followed by Q&A, Dr. Roop will lay out the issues facing our planet and offer important actions that we can take right now in our daily lives to help slow the adverse effects of climate change.
Doors open at 6p and include an opportunity to visit Snow: Tiny Crystals, Global Impact, an interactive exhibition about the nature and wonder of snow and the impact of climate change on our snowy planet. Dr. Roop’s talk will begin at 7p, followed by Q&A and book signing.
Books will be available for purchase on-site starting at 6p.
