FEMA Hazard Mitigation - Current Grant Opportunities - Millions of Dollars Available!

Ms. Davis will present on the newly announced Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) funds for Minnesota and the nationally competitive Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) priorities. She will outline traditional program eligibility and projects types. She will be available to discuss opportunities to include climate change adaptation to make communities in Minnesota more resilient to the hazards we face.

Jennifer Davis, State Hazard Mitigation Officer, Minnesota Department of Public Service

Jennifer Davis is the State Hazard Mitigation Officer (SHMO) for Minnesota. She has been with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS), Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM) since 2007. Ms. Davis administers FEMA Hazard Mitigation programs to plan and implement projects that reduce the effects of natural hazards and increase resiliency around the state. She is the Minnesota Silver Jackets/USACE Risk Management Team co-chair. She obtained her Masters in Community and Regional Planning from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
