The observed snow storage was found to be 18.6 t/m at Mountain Lake. The storage capacity of this fence design is 41.2 t/m; therefore this design captured roughtly 45% of capacity for the 2000-01 season.

The calculated setback distance of 165 ft is 135 ft greater than the actual setback of 300 ft. However, no problems occurred at this site because snow deposition did not encroach on the roadway.
