Explanation of Headings in the Wind Direction File (see headings below):

Avg. Dir. Degrees	= The average direction the wind came from for the hour.
			= 0/360° = North, 90° = East, 180° = South, 270° = West.

Avg. Speed M.p.h.	= The average speed in miles per hour.

Res. Mag. Miles		= Resultant Magnitude of the wind speed in miles.

Res. Dir. Degrees	= Resultant Magnitude of the wind direction in degrees.

The above 2 parameters take into account the variability of the wind speed
and direction to estimate where an object such as a balloon or an air parcel
will have moved during the past hour.

Std.Dev of Dir. Deg	= Standard Deviation of the Wind Direction in Degrees.
