Some of the storms were massive areas of low pressure that brought blizzard conditions such as the Armistice Day Storm, and some were more gentle affairs like March 8-9, 1999. The largest single storm total is 28.4 inches with the 1991 Halloween storm.
None of the top eleven have occurred in February. The largest storm that could be found in February is the 10.7 inches that fell on February 1-2, 2004. An additional .3 inches fell on the evening of January 31, 2004 to bring the storm total to 11 inches.
