Itís finally starting to feel a little more like summer around central Minnesota, especially with the amount of storms Minnesota has been seeing recently. Early Tuesday morning, June 18th 2013, an upper-air trough moved from North Dakota into central Minnesota and produced a storm riddled with rain and hail. This storm had the biggest affect on regions southwest of the Twin Cities Metro area, namely near Springfield and Wabasso. Over 3 hours, Redwood Falls Airport recorded .31 inches of rain. Hail was reported to cover the ground, with baseball sized hail being found near Springfield. Although the rain helps the drought conditions , the hail managed to damage crops right outside of Springfield
