WMF to Raster Format File Converter

Images can be resized and then saved. The WMF2GIF package installs the publically available ImageEnX.ocx control into the windows system directory. (The complete ImageEnX distribution package is included in the download. Please read any license material in that package.)

This application is particularly useful with exports (.WMF format) of screen-based images (from apps such as ESRI's ArcView or Golden's Surfer). The rusults are typically 'cleaner' that directly exporting to, say, a .JPG format.

1. A partially tested version of WMF2GIF.exe and the publically available control ImageEnX.ocx are available to be installed on your computer.
   • Create a temporary directory for the contents of WMF2GIF.ZIP (about 3Mb).
   • Unzip the contents of WMF2GIF.ZIP to the temporary directory.
   • From windows, run the setup.exe in that temporary directory.
2. Run WMF2GIF.EXE
   • use the menu 'Load' to load a .WMF file.
   • use the menu 'size width or height' if desired
   • use the menu 'Save' to save a .GIF file
