Snow Rules!

Temperature graphs through time

Thermochrons have been used in the SnowRules! project (see a brief description) to monitor temperature. Thermochrons are either snow 'board' mounted to monitor temperature in the air and under the snow, post or tree mounted to monitor ambient air temperature, or placed in underwater lake and stream locations to monitor water temperatures. Observation sites are sorted roughly from east to west. The 'away-along' designation follows the convention for the grid of the Snow Rules! project. (The 1st few thermochron IDs without 'away-along' designations are experimental deployements outside the study area.)
